The Montana Department of Transportation's Motor Carrier Services Division (MCS) protects state and federal government investment in Montana's Highway system and ensures the safety of the traveling public through uniform regulation of the commercial motor carrier industry and enforcement of all state and federal commercial motor carrier laws, rules and regulations.

Our staff enforces the statutes and regulations relating to vehicles weight and size on the states highways andcollect gross vehicle weight fees.

MCS is divided into three bureaus: Licensing & Permitting, Operations, and Enforcement, and offers a wide variety of positions including:
