Pilot Services For adventurous types wishing to fly or charter their own aircraft, Yellowstone Airport offers accurate weather forecasts; safe, non-mountainous approaches into an 8000’ long runway; and an ILS landing system accommodating private aircraft from a single engine Cessna to a Boeing 747. This airport is non-towered, however the common traffic advisory frequency is 123.0. The airport is fully lighted for night-time use with IFR lead-in and approach lighting as well.

NATC is a Nevada-based engineering and testing firm specializing in tire tread and wear testing. NATC tests snow and cold conditions on a wide range of other products as well. In order to preserve the specially groomed snow for testing, and in the interest of safety, winter-time flight operations at Yellowstone Airport cease, unless the flight operator receives prior written consent from either airport management or NATC.
