Gallatin Turn Lanes
March 17, 2014 - M.A. DeAtley Construction is planning on starting the project back-up from the winter shutdown on March 24th. The main emphasis of work left on the project is the construction of turn lanes at the Greek Creek Campground site.
Crews will begin by preparing the large rock cut for excavation. This preparatory work will cause 15 minute delays to the travelling public. Delays of up to 1 hour can be expected once rock excavation actually begins, which could be as early as March 25th.
Motorists are reminded to watch for work crews and equipment as well as signs indicating detours, lane closures and reduced speed limits. Posted limits are enforced until signs indicate that the work zone has ended. Fines are double in work zones.
