Red Lodge 8th to Robinson Project Project Status

Updated October 29:

Brewery Hill
Brewery Hill is currently closed to traffic. Access for emergency vehicles is being maintained.

Goran removed 2,500 cubic yards of unsuitable material from Brewery Hill. Goran has completed the unsuitable material removal and is installing crushed aggregate course(gravel). The unsuitable material was a pre-existing condition, a combination of clay and saturation affecting the entire roadway, making it too soft to build upon. The sub-base is completed with minor clean up in areas with excess unsuitable material, and Goran anticipates to start building the road base. Brewery Hill paving is anticipated to be complete by November 8.

South Red Lodge
Goran has completed the paving and striping, and traffic is flowing in both directions. The ADA ramp work is nearing completion for the season. Goran is now focusing on completing the asphalt patching around the new ADA ramps. Intermittent, partial intersection and lane closures may be present.

3rd Street to Robinson:
Goran will complete the top lift prior to construction ending for the season. The bike path will remain unpaved through the winter shutdown and will be paved next year.

Current construction activities expected to be completed by November 16.

Roundabout - 5th Street to 2nd Street/5th Street to 8th Street:
These sections of the project will not begin until Spring 2015.
