of Transportation Proposes Retaining Wall Improvement Project on
Basin — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
retrofit and improve the retaining wall at reference post 157.8
approximately 1.4 miles east of the Basin Interchange (exit 156) on
Interstate 15 (I-15). The project is located under the I-15 bridge at
reference post 157.8 between the Basin and High Ore exits on the I-15
Frontage Road locally known as Cattle Trail Road.

grading. The purpose of the project is to extend the life of the
retaining wall and prevent further structural and erosional damage.
Cattle Trail Road will be closed during construction at the project
area under the Interstate bridge. Minimal interruption to Interstate
traffic is proposed on an intermittent basis.

availability of funds. New right-of-way is not anticipated.
