Department of Transportation Proposes Resurfacing Project for U.S.
EVARO — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT)
would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to
resurface about 3.3 miles of U.S. Highway 93 through Evaro in
Missoula County. The project begins about 0.1 miles north of the
Evaro Road intersection at reference post 6.3 and extends north for
3.3 miles, ending just south of the bridge over Finley Creek and the
Montana Rail Link Railroad at reference post 9.6.
includes a crack sealing, seal and cover (chip seal), fog seal, and
upgraded pavement marking. The purpose of the project is to take a
cost-effective action to prolong and preserve the existing pavement.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2019,
depending on completion of all project development activities and
availability of funding. No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations
will be needed.
