Montana Department of
Transportation Proposes Pavement Preservation Project on Geyser
Street in Livingston
LIVINGSTON — The Montana Department of
Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek
comments on a proposal to seal and cover about 1.42 miles of Geyser
Street in Livingston. The project begins at the intersection of
Geyser Street and West Park Street at reference post 0.00 and extends
northeast for 1.42 miles, ending near the intersection of Geyser
Street and South H Street at reference post 1.42.
includes crack sealing, seal and cover (chip seal), installing
automated signing in the school zone, upgraded existing signage, and
replacing pavement markings. The purpose of the project is to
preserve and extend the life of the existing asphalt.
The project is
tentatively scheduled for construction in 2018, depending on
completion of all project development activities and availability of
funding. No new right-of-way will be needed.
