Statewide Traffic Count Site Map
If you are using Internet Explorer 8 (IE8), IE10 or IE11 you may experience some technical difficulties with the online statewide traffic map. TDCA is aware of these issues and we are working towards resolving these problems. In the meantime, our recommendation is to view the online traffic map in a different web browser such as Fire Fox or Google Chrome. We apologize for the inconvenience.

There are multiple layers of information being displayed on the map therefore you must zoom in to see the dots identifying the traffic count sites. Click on the features in the map to display details.
The pop–up box displays data in multiple slides – scroll through the slides using the arrow at the top of the box.
The Statewide Traffic Count Site map displays published traffic data graphically. Some of the data items displayed are:
Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) – An estimate of the traffic volume one can expect to see on the roadway segment on an average day.
Traffic Count Locations – Shows the actual placement of the short term traffic counter and permanent ATR/WIM sites within the Traffic Flow segment.
Traffic Flow segments – Each roadway is broken into homogenous traffic segments for traffic collection and reporting purposes. Together these roadway segments form a connected road network.
Daily Vehicle Miles Traveled (DVMT) by County – County level DVMT is generated by multiplying each roadway segment's Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) by the segment’s section length and then summing the DVMT for the roadway segments within the county. The shading on the map provides a quick view of the distribution of DVMT by county – the darker the shading, the higher the DVMT. DVMT is reported for On System (Interstate, NI-NHS, Primary, Secondary and Urban) and Off System routes.
