Project Overview

The East Valley Center Road and Baxter Lane project will complete pavement preservation activities on two urban routes in Bozeman. The project includes applying a seal and cover (chip seal) and updated pavement markings. The project on Baxter Lane begins at the intersection with North 7th Avenue and will extend northwest approximately 1 mile to the junction with North 19th Avenue. The project on East Valley Center Road begins at the junction with North 19th Avenue and will extend approximately 2 miles northwest to the intersection with Valley Spur Road. The purpose of the project is to extend the service life of the roadways, provide additional skid resistance, and take cost-effective action to preserve and maintain the existing roadways.

Construction is planned to begin on July 18 and last for two weeks, weather and other unforeseen factors permitting. Access through the project area will be maintained but traffic control will be in place. During construction, motorists can expect reduced speeds, flaggers, and rough roadway surfaces. This work may cause delays of up to 15 minutes.

Crews will return in mid-September to complete final striping activities.
