The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Frontier West have reopened the Cyr Bridge on Old Highway 10 west of Alberton in Mineral County! Crews will still be present wrapping up minor tasks for the next few weeks, but the bridge is not expected to be closed for this work.

Construction on this project began in Spring 2024 and required Cyr Bridge to be closed for several months while repairs were completed.

Improvements completed include repairing and painting portions of the steel superstructure beneath the bridge deck (driving surface), replacing the bridge railing, applying a crack seal to the bridge deck, resurfacing the roadway on each end of the bridge, and repairing deteriorated concrete in the bridge deck, piers, and retaining walls.

Other improvements made as part of this project include paving the vehicle parking area on the east side of the bridge and the installation of a historical marker.

MDT and Frontier West thank you for your patience during construction.
