This week:
- Depending on weather and roadway conditions, milling will continue near the southern end of the project, continuing north toward the intersection of Wild Horse Trail and Saint Joe Road.
- A pilot car and signal lights will be situated approximately 2 miles south of the milled area and will continue for approximately 2 miles during daylight hours. Timed signals controlling single-lane traffic may be intermittent during nighttime hours. Otherwise, travelers can expect two-lane traffic overnight.
- The contractor will continue stripping topsoil and constructing foundations adjacent to the roadway with trucking operations. This work will occur approximately 4 miles north of the intersection at Wild Horse Trail and Saint Joe Road, moving north.
Traffic Control
- Please watch for reduced speeds, trucks entering the roadway, and signal lights in the construction zone.
- The speed limit will be 35 mph following the pilot car with speeds returning to 55 mph outside the work zone. Speed zones will align with roadway work and will be approximately 2 miles in length.
- Travelers can expect wait times of approximately 15 minutes at the signal light.
- No width restrictions are in place at this time, however, wide loads may be delayed and should call ahead to 406-853-5392.
- Those traveling on motorcycles may want to consider an alternate route.
