Project Purpose

The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the interstate so that it can continue serving the public for many years. This road was constructed in 1967 and needs a new surface. These repairs are a cost-effective way to increase the service life of the roadway and provide a smoother driving surface for motorists.

MDT will notify the public about traffic impacts and work activities through the project website, local media, social media, and email and text notifications during construction.
