Study Focus

MDT identified a need to evaluate and mitigate operational and maintenance impacts for Interstate 90 (I-90) closures and weather events between Livingston and Billings. The study corridor consists of approximately 170 miles of I-90 between the US 287 Interchange west of Three Forks (RP 274) to Billings (RP 443) and the I-90/I-94 junction. The study was completed in April 2019.

Study Area

The study corridor consists of approximately 170 miles of I-90 between the US 287 Interchange west of Three Forks (RP 274) to Billings (RP 443) and the I-90/I-94 junction. While the study is focused between Billings and the 287 Interchange, there may be some recommendations that involve the greater Billings area or address statewide issues. The physical study corridor will remain between these two reference markers.
