The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), the City of Bozeman, and project partners CK May Excavating and DJ&A Engineering are excited to share that the Kagy Boulevard–South 19th to Willson project has reached a major milestone.

The project team has submitted the 90% design plans to MDT for review, marking an important step in the project’s development. The plans include most of the details needed for construction and will now undergo a thorough review to identify and resolve any remaining issues before finalizing the design.

The project team will host a pre-construction open house on Wednesday, November 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Pilgrim United Church of Christ Bozeman. Community members are invited to stop by anytime during the event to learn about upcoming construction, meet the project team, and ask questions. No formal presentation will be made.

Preparatory work, including utility relocations, is tentatively scheduled to begin in late 2026. Minimal traffic disruption is anticipated until roadwork begins in the spring. All work depends on design completion, weather, and unforeseen factors.
