Project Overview

Current Project Status

Paving has resumed and is anticipated to take the next three weeks. Two-way traffic is being maintained, but travelers should watch for flaggers and reduced speeds in the area. Travelers should plan an additional 5-10 minutes travel time to accommodate short delays due to reduced speeds and trucks entering the project area. The project will be completed in this construction season resulting in two northbound lanes and two southbound lanes.

This project will bring this section of US 287 into compliance with current design standards and improve stopping and sight distance. Construction is expected to be completed over two seasons (2020-2021). Initial paving (25 percent completion) was completed in November of 2020, and remaining paving and final improvements will be completed in the summer of 2021.

Once completed, the highway will support two northbound lanes and two southbound lanes with an additional center turn lane at the junction with Secondary Highway 437 North towards Radersburg. Improvements will connect existing 4-lane sections between the I-90 Interchange and Toston in order to finalize roadway improvements in this area.

As always, pay attention, slow down and be careful as you pass through the work zone.
