These research projects were done to evaluate Montana's air quality programs, which includes the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) and Montana Air and Congestion (MACI) programs. Each research project looked at ways to develop practical refinement to MDT's current methods for determining CMAQ and MACI projects and keep the programs oriented to high value investments for Montana communities.
