Valley MT-

813 PM MDT SUN AUG 5 2018

The National Weather Service in Glasgow has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...

South central Valley County in northeastern Montana...

* Until 1000 PM MDT.

* At 806 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain causing small

stream flooding along and north-northwest of the Pines Recreation

area west of Fort Peck Lake. 1 to 3 inches of rain have already

  fallen.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas along and from 5 to 8

miles north of the Pines Recreational Area west of Fort Peck Lake

  in south central Valley County.

Additional rainfall of 0.5 to 1.0 inches are expected over the area.

This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are

potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded

roads. Find an alternate route.
