...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM MST

THURSDAY...



The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a Wind

Advisory...which is in effect from 8 PM this evening to 6 AM MST

Thursday. 



* TIMING...Tonight through Wednesday night. Strongest winds will

  be tonight and again Wednesday evening, with slightly weaker 

  winds during the day Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Strong crosswinds along I-90 and local roads around 

  Nye, will make travel difficult.



* WINDS...Gusts of 55 to 65 mph.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Winds this strong can make travel difficult. Drivers of high 

profile vehicles should use extra caution, particularly along 

portions of Interstate 90 from Springdale to Livingston. Also use 

caution along the Stillwater River and West Rosebud Creek Valleys.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT

UNTIL MIDNIGHT MST WEDNESDAY NIGHT...



* WINDS...Southwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.



* TIMING...Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening.



* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.

  Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be 

  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected

or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph, or gusts

of 58 mph or more, can lead to property damage.
