The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) submitted a RAISE grant application in February 2024 and an MPDG (INFRA and Rural) grant application in May 2024 for funding to convert the stop-controlled interchange at Gore Hill into a roundabout interchange, add an I-15 southbound auxiliary lane between Gore Hill Interchange and 10th Ave North Interchange, and relocate Tri Hill Frontage Road. Additional work includes constructing a 6.5-foot raised sidewalk on the overpass, an 8-foot and 5-foot path to the left and right, respectively, of 31st Street SW separated from traffic. This Project will improve capacity and overall operations of the Gore Hill Interchange, improve safety and movement of vehicles between the two interchanges, and enhance connectivity and safety of nonmotorized users across the Gore Hill interchange.
