The Hardin Rest Area Restoration project team, including Dick Anderson Construction, WGM Group, and CWG Architecture, have made tremendous progress on the reconstruction of the eastbound and westbound rest area sites located at mile marker 476 on Interstate 90 (I-90) between Billings and Hardin.

Demolition of the buildings at both sites is complete and crews are already pouring concrete for the footings of the new rest area buildings.

Removal of the old parking lot pavement, grading operations, and stormwater drainage improvements at both sites are also underway.

The eastbound and westbound Hardin Rest Area sites are closed to the public during construction.

The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) Watercraft Inspection Site at the westbound location is now open to the public and will remain open throughout the boating season.

During construction, minimal-to-no traffic disruption on I-90 is anticipated. Drivers should watch for trucks entering and exiting the project areas.
