Public Engagement Opportunity
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will host open houses to provide information about the I-90 West Three Forks to Bear Canyon Corridor Study, including details about the planning process and initial findings. The goal of these outreach efforts is to share background information and gather public feedback on transportation concerns, priorities, and goals.
In-person open houses will be held at the following locations:
Three Forks
- Date: Monday, August 17
- Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Location: Three Forks Methodist Church Annex, 124 2nd Avenue East (behind the church)
Bozeman
- Date: Tuesday, August 18
- Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Location: Bozeman Public Library, 626 East Main Street
Belgrade
- Date: Wednesday, August 19
- Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Location: Belgrade Community Library, 205 East Main Street
Additionally, a virtual engagement opportunity will allow participants to review the same content provided at in-person events and share feedback at their convenience.
Virtual Open House
Overview
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is developing a corridor study of Interstate 90 (I-90) between the West Three Forks Interchange in Broadwater County and Bear Canyon Road Interchange in Gallatin County. The purpose of the I-90 Corridor Study is to develop a comprehensive long-range plan for managing the corridor and determine what improvements can be made to address identified needs while considering public and agency input, environmental constraints, access management, and financial feasibility.
The study will be a collaborative process with MDT, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), local jurisdictions, resource agencies, and the public to identify transportation needs and potential solutions.
