The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) submitted a RAISE grant application in January 2025 to fund the Brockway-West Project, a highway reconstruction project located west of Brockway, Montana. Construction work will increase roadway shoulder width from 0-feet to 6-feet, reduce the number of vertical curves from 30 to 20, flatten vertical grades exceeding 4 percent to less than or equal to 4 percent, add centerline and shoulder rumble strips, add flat-bottom ditches to both sides of the highway, replace the existing 24 culvert crossings with new culverts sized according to water flow requirements, and add new signing and pavement markings.
