Traffic Control Update:
- Minor concrete work is in progress to transition the new roadway surface to the storm drain facilities and sidewalks.
- Crews plan to start striping the roadway the week of November 11, weather and other factors permitting. Traffic control may include single-lane traffic, reduced speeds, and flaggers directing motorists. Please watch for workers throughout the project area and follow all posted signage.
- Front Street paving is complete. Crews plan to begin striping the roadway next week, weather and other factors permitting.
- Work is in progress to transition the new road surface to the new storm drain facilities, sidewalks, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements.
- Crews are installing final components of the underground storm drain system by boring drainpipe under the railroad, just south of Main Street and east of 14th Avenue.

Crews are currently paving Front Street. Work is anticipated to last for one week, weather and other factors permitting. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists should expect reduced speeds, loose gravel on the roadway, narrow travel lanes, and flaggers controlling traffic. Watch for workers throughout the project area and follow all posted signage.
- Resurfacing work on Front Street is in progress. Striping will be completed after paving.
- Construction of new sidewalk and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements on the south side of Front Street is mostly complete. Remaining concrete work will be completed after resurfacing.

- Resurfacing work on Front Street is expected to begin the week of September 23, beginning with pulverizing the roadway surface. This work is dependent on weather and other factors.
- Construction of new sidewalk and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements on the south side of Front Street is mostly complete. The remaining concrete work will be completed after resurfacing.
- Installation of underground storm drain facilities is mostly complete. In the coming months, crews anticipate boring storm drainpipe under the railroad.

June 21, 2024
- Concrete demolition of curb and gutter on the south side of Front Street is in progress to prepare for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades.
- Construction of new sidewalk sections and ADA improvements is expected to begin the week of June 24 and will be completed in three-block sections. This work is expected to take approximately one month to complete. Please watch for workers near the roadway. Business and pedestrian access will be maintained while this work is being completed.
- Installation of the new underground storm drain system is in progress.
- Roadway resurfacing is expected to begin in the coming weeks, weather and other factors permitting.

- New stormwater facilities have been installed on Front Street including an underground storm drain between 4th Avenue and 12th Avenue and stormwater inlets on the south side of Front Street and adjacent streets.
- Stormwater facilities are being installed at the outflow of the new drainage system on the east end of town. This work is progressing westward, toward 18th Avenue.
- Riverside Contracting Inc. plans to begin resurfacing work in the coming weeks.
- The gravel areas over the new storm drain are scheduled to be paved in conjunction with Front Street later this summer. Paving demands longer periods of warm weather for best quality and proper drying times.
- Sidewalk and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades are expected to start at the end of June.
May 21, 2024
- New stormwater facilities have been installed on Front Street including an underground storm drain between 4th Avenue and 12th Avenue and stormwater inlets on the south side of Front Street and adjacent streets.
- Stormwater facilities are being installed at the outflow of the new drainage system on the east end of town. This work is progressing westward, toward 18th Avenue.
- Riverside Contracting Inc. plans to begin resurfacing work at the end of May or early June. This project includes a resurfacing technique called pulverization which grinds up the existing asphalt so it can be reformed into a smooth surface during the paving process. The graphic below provides a visual representation of this.
- The gravel areas over the new storm drain are scheduled to be paved in conjunction with Front Street later this summer. Paving demands prolonged periods of warm weather for optimal quality and proper drying times.
